Itinerant Outreach Teacher
Full-time itinerant position providing outreach consultations, evaluations and direct instruction to students who are visually impaired in the students' home district, with occasional evaluations on KSSB's campus. Provides teaching techniques and education resources related to the visually impaired to school districts and parents. Some overnight travel.
Bachelor Degree in Education from an accredited college or university and five years experience in evaluating and teaching students who are visually impaired. Prefer Master Degree in Education and two years experience in evaluating and teaching students who are visually impaired. Must hold Kansas Teaching License at time of appointment with Vision endorsement. Prefer dual certification as Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS) by Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals (ACVREP).
