How Can We Help You?

  • Facilitate regional Community of Practice for Teachers of Students with a Visual Impairment, O&M Specialists, and Para-educators/Braillists.
  • Professional Development for Special Educators, Classroom Teachers,

Administrators, and others working with a student with a visual impairment.

  • Technical Assistance including web conferencing on current trends and best practices in the Vision Education Field.
  • Assessments unique to students with a visual impairment.
  • Point of contact for Kansas TVls/COMS on KanLovKids regional and statewide programs: Pediatric Low Vision Collaboration Clinics (PLVCC), Low Vision Evaluations (LVE).  View the regional Field Services Specialists map. 
  • Point of contact for pre-service TVls/COMS (See KSDE -TASN flyer Info).
  • Collaborate, support and consult with Kansas Infant/Toddler teams.
  • Statewide resource for families with a child who has a visual impairment, including those with additional needs and/or deaf-blindness.
  • Regional host of two Braille Challenges in Kansas.
